CG Methode en haren wassen: Hoe vaak en welke methodes zijn er?

CG Method and hair washing: How often and what methods are there?

Do you also follow the CG method? But do you also not know what to put in your hair? Here is everything you need to know!

CG Method and washing your hair: Okay, so how often should you wash your hair?

Surprise, surprise: this is actually completely up to your own hair. Most curlies wash their hair once a week.

It is important to use shampoo at least once a week. On other days you can use only conditioner or do a co-wash.

Tip: If you use a protein shampoo, try alternating with shampoos that only contain moisturizing ingredients. This will prevent protein overload.

CG Method and hair washing: Curly Girl method shampoos

To make it easier for you, we only have cg proof products on our website. By means of the hair test you can also find out which product you can use best.

CG proof products are free of parabens, sulphates, silicones, waxes, drying alcohol and mineral oils . These ingredients are harmful to your hair and will dry it out.

One of our favorites is the Waterclouds Botanical Shampoo. This product consists of 94% natural products.

CG Method and hair washing: Co Washing

A Co-wash is a cleansing conditioner that not only nourishes your hair and scalp but also cleanses it. This is less aggressive than a shampoo and the advantage of a cowash is that you don't have to pull out your entire shampoo routine (saving time).

Having extreme product build up? Try a pre-poo !

Those pesky product residues aka buildup can be really itchy but it could also be that your scalp is already quite dry. So before you use shampoo try a so-called prepoo. For this use a hair oil like this one from Ecosla y . Massage the oil into your scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes, then continue with your normal washing routine.
